Small Business Saturday - November 26th
Now that Black Friday has arrived, don't forget about Small Business Saturday. Please support our small businesses either at home or wherever you might be tomorrow.
On November 26, we're asking millions of people to shop small at their favorite local stores and help fuel the economy. When we all shop small, it will be huge.

Stress reducing Travel Tips
Flights Be early: Get to the airport at least two hours early to allow time for check-in and security lines.
Check for delays: Check and double-check for flight delays before you set out for the airport through your airline or at www.portseattle.org/sea-tac (the airport's newly-redesigned and more user-friendly website). Sign up through airline websites for flight-delay alerts, too.
Go light: Travel with just a carry-on bag. You really don't need a suitcase full of stuff for just a few days, and traveling light saves lots of time (and, these days, money, because of checked-bag fees). Print out your boarding pass at home and go straight to airport security and, at the other end, waltz past baggage claim.
Follow the rules: Be good and obey airline rules on carry-on size and weight. Some airlines are cracking down on super-size carry-on bags, making passengers check them.
Liquids and other rules: Follow the liquids rule, too. Liquids in carry-on luggage must be in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces, fit in a quart-sized plastic bag, with just one bag allowed per person. Help airport security checks go faster by having your coat and shoes off and your laptop out. See http://www.tsa.gov/

Get their number: Have airline phone numbers handy in case of flight cancellations. It can be quicker to rebook by phone instead of at airport counters crowded with cranky passengers.
Don't forget your ID: Passengers 18 and older on domestic flights must show federal or state-issued photo ID at airport checkpoints. (Flying out of the U.S.? Passports are required for everyone.)

Splurge: Treat yourself. Consider buying a day pass to an airline lounge — nice seats, nice drinks, far fewer people than at gate waiting areas.
Upgrade to an aisle seat or seat with more legroom. Airlines might make you pay extra (they're masters of extra fees) but it could be worth it.
Splurge on noise-canceling headphones and block out the din on flights.

Turkey Time
Preparation is everything when planning dinner for a crowd. Start with a menu and a list of every dish you'll be serving, including bread and drinks. Review recipes and note what you can do ahead. The day before the big dinner, set out serving pieces and utensils (label with Post-It notes to remind yourself which piece goes with which food).
